Sitsiam Camp/Buddhai Swan InstituteAshton, ManchesterUK are renowned for their Demonstrations and Fight Choreography of Krabi Krabong (Thai weapons), Muay Kaacheurk (Muay Boran – old-style boxing), Muay Thai and Self Defence. The team make regular appearances at Thai Festivals and the Thai Temples based around the UK where their amazing displays are popular with both the Thai Community and European visitors.
We are honoured to be invited to give our displays of the Thai Martial Arts for the Royal Thai Embassy at events held around the country.

Sitsiam Camp Muay ThaiSaturday 20th April:
Ashton-under-Lyne Easter Fun Event.
As usual the demonstration brought a large crowds, many of the people witnessing the Thai Martial Arts for the first time.
The demonstration consisted of Krabi krabong (Thai weapons art) by Anan and Ploy Utilising Ngao ( Halberd type weapon) and Plong (Staff).
Muay Thai padwork which for the first time included our Tiny Thais Club who performed to the high standards set by their seniors at the Sitsiam Camp.
Wai Kru Ram Muay (Ritual Dance) which is always well received by the audience performed by Bovvy (Shan) one of our seniors.
Next up was Muay Thai Free Sparring, which got the crowd fired-up.
Well done to the Tiny Thais club on their first demonstration.

Songkran Festival (Thai New Year) 2019
What an amazing weekend for the Sitsiam Camp/Buddhai Swan Demonstration Team.
Exceeding over 1000 people crammed themselves into the Wat Mahathat Thai Temple, Kings Bromley to celebrate Song-Kran (Thai New Year) also known as the Thai Water Festival.
The proceedings began with the main procession around the temple grounds after which the Sitsiam Camp/Buddhai Swan opened with their spectacular demonstrations of the Thai Martial Arts;
which included Muay Thai, Krabi Krabong and Muay Boran. These Thai Martial Arts demonstrations by the Sitsiam camp/Buddhai Swan, have become a major part of all Thai festivals held here in England.
The Team received many accolades after their performance from the other Thai entertainers, organisers and spectators.
It is always a great honour for our team to support the Thai Buddhist Temples around the country.

5th May (Por Kru Day)
The most important day in the Sitsiam camp calendar.
On this auspicious occasion all students will
perform the Wai Kru/Ram Muay to show their gratitude to
their father teacher Por Kru Samai (Buddhai Swan)
There will be demonstrationsand and fight choreography
of the Thai martial arts Including
Krabi Krabong, Muay Boran and Muay Thai.

by all the Sitsiam Camp and Buddhai Swan students.

Manchester’s biggest Thai Festival.

A family day out with a unique twist, children’s fun fairground also enjoy authentic Thai cuisine, enter the many competitions with amazing prizes, watch classical Thai dancing and other Thai performers on the main stage.
Demonstrations of the Thai Martial Arts will be performed by the Sitsiam camp/Buddhai Swan on the main stage and in the Muay Thai ring throughout the day.

Sitsiam Wai Kru


2018 was a very busy year for the Sitsiam camp.
In September the Sitsiam Camp moved to bigger and better premises, after spending over 20 years at our old location.
This was probably the biggest highlight of 2018 and sees a new brighter future for the Sitsiam Camp/Buddhai Swan.
As always the Sitsiam Camp/Buddhai Swan was in great demand for demonstrations throughout 2018.
